🎁 Opportunity: When job searching, it's smart to explore different strategies. Rather than only applying to posted jobs, consider attracting employers by adding yourself to Animal Advocacy Careers’ talent directory.
📚 Report: The Animal Advocacy Strategy Forum 2024 released their survey results:
State of the movement: Respondents identified the main challenges for orgs in the movement as poor coordination and limited funding (both in diversity and amount). The top external threats were economic and political challenges and insufficient support from the public and funders.
Future direction: They believed movement resources should focus on Asia (33%) and 'Western' countries (32%). The top animals prioritized were hens (18%), broilers (15%), and farmed fish (13%). Efforts should primarily target businesses (32%), the movement itself (26%), and governments (25%).

🥗 Plant-Based Food & Cultivated Protein
Plant-Based Foods Migration Analysis found that shoppers who engage with plant-based foods gradually reduce their spending in related animal-based food categories over time.
Plant-based retail sales data for six European countries (2021–early 2024) breaks down sales by category and country.
Publishing landscape analysis revealed that more than a quarter of all European alternative protein research studies were published in 2023.
Report modeled the financial and environmental impacts of a transition to plant-based catering in universities.
This helps build the case for universities to transition to plant-based catering: it is both more affordable and has a lower environmental burden.
